Parents Time Out Morphettvale

Parent time out is a support group at the Carer Support Morphett Vale Centre and is for parents of younger children with a disability or mental illness who live in the southern suburbs. Morning tea provided and a range of fun activities, information sharing and peer support.

Meets: Once a month from February to November. The 3rd Thursday of the month from 10AM– 12 noon

Parents Time Out Glandore

A support group for parents of children with a disability including children on the autism spectrum. A chance for peer support and a break from your caring role with fun activities.  Morning tea provided.

Partridge Carers

For parents who care for an adult child (over 16 years old) with a disability or long term illness. Includes a program of guest speakers and also some meetings dedicated to having a break and taking care of yourself.

Meets: Meeting 1st Wednesday of the month, bi-monthly, 10.30-12noon.

Parents Evening Group

A support group for parents of children with a disability.  A chance for peer support and a break from your caring role. Currently meeting at the Avoca Hotel for a $12 schnitzel menu and fun trivia game.  Carer Support will also buy you a drink.

The A-Team

The A- Team is a social group promoting engagement in fun,  sensory and skill based activities for children with  autism in grades 1—7.

Meets: Wednesdays Term Time (Boys 3.45pm-4.45pm | Girls 5.15pm-6.15pm)
Venue: Mitchell Park Neighbourhood Centre - 1 Cumbria Court Mitchell Park. Public transport to the centre available at Stop 28 Bradley Grove (Bus W90)
Who: Children with autism in grades 1-7
Cost: $2 per session or $20 for the Term upfront
Bring: A sun hat & water bottle

Friends and Families for Autism

A new group for families and friends of young adults on the autism spectrum. This group is a chance for young adults on the spectrum to meet new friends, as well as opportunity for parents to connect and share information.
