Covid-19 Update 20 July 2021

Jul 20 2021 7:09 PM

Dear Autism SA Community,

By now most of you will have heard of the Level 5 Stay at Home Order, commencing at 6pm this evening.

For at least the next week, this will affect many areas of our lives, including school, work, sport, leisure, and I know how difficult it can be for those of us who dislike sudden changes and uncertainty.

Autism SA provides essential services, as they have been classified by the State Government today. We will provide face-to-face services where we can within the current restrictions and also continue to offer our activities, therapies and supports in other ways possible, to remain compliant.

This includes many of our services being available as online “teletherapy”, activities and training to enable you to continue to receive quality autism support. If you have a booking with us in the next week, you can expect a call from one of our team soon to find the best way to support you or the person you care for.

Over the next days, the Autism SA team will be releasing new resources designed to support us all during this Lockdown. Please keep an eye out for social stories, health and wellbeing supports for use by us all in these challenging times.

If you have any service-related questions, please call us on 1300 288 476, or email via mypathways@autismsa.org.au. I will welcome your feedback and suggestions regarding this situation so please send them to me via feedback@autismsa.org.au.

If you are also experiencing health issues, please consult SA Health’s COVID-19 resources via this link. If you have any questions regarding the State Government’s COVID-19 response, please call SA COVID-19 Information Line on 1800 253 787 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, 7 days or follow this link.

We are here for you and please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

With kind regards,

Jenny
