Autism SA Southern Hub at Tonsley

Dear valued members of Autism SA’s community,

Autism SA is working hard to provide you more of what you want and build the organisation’s capacity to deliver more services and supports to our valued and growing autism community.

So, it is with great pleasure and excitement that I am writing to confirm that Autism SA has designed an innovative neurodiversity-friendly hub that will house most of our current Netley-based workforce, equipment, supports and services, located at Tonsley in Adelaide’s inner South region. This new hub will be accessible by the end of April 2021. In addition, this year Autism SA is undertaking facility improvements and expansion at our Elizabeth location.

The Autism SA Board, Leadership Team and I look forward to personally welcoming you to our new location at Tonsley and our re-developed premises at Elizabeth in 2021. We also look forward to you having the opportunity to experience the many benefits that our relocation and redevelopments will deliver to you in the future.

 

The new building within the Tonsley Innovation District, designed with our autism community in mind, will provide improved facilities, equipment, community access and space to enable life-changing supports and services to South Australia’s autism community for many years into the future.

In order to continue to provide you with the best of what is available, most of our services and supports from Netley will be moving to Tonsley between now and the end of April and some will be relocating to our expanded Elizabeth office. We are retaining a presence at Netley to house our Foundation Skills Group (FSG) program.

If you have been receiving services or support at Netley, it is likely that access to these services will be from the new Tonsley location, after your Autism SA therapist/team has relocated there.

You will be provided with the information you need to successfully continue to access supports and services and feel welcome at the new Tonsley location. This includes this information on easy and convenient travel routes and options.

At your next appointment at Netley, the person you work with at Autism SA will provide you with the information you need to successfully continue to access supports and services and feel welcome at the new Tonsley location. We may call or email you before then to discuss this and you are always welcome to contact your Autism SA staff member if you have any questions or send us an email via: tonsley@autismsa.org.au

Autism SA is committed to making this relocation as safe, accessible and inclusive as possible. We have also developed a range of resources for you as our valued clients, your supports and our community to assist in the location transition, when required. You are welcome to discuss the move and access these supports with the Autism SA people working with you. Furthermore , we have prepared a list of responses to frequently asked questions for you to consult for more information. We encourage all clients to please email us if you have not recieved your copy.
