The Friendship Space will be run on Tuesday 13 April and Thursday 15 April at Redwood Park. NDIS funding can be used to access this program.

Yeah the (teenage) girls

The Yeah the (Teenage) Girls! Group is a group program designed for females aged 12 to 17 years old. The group aims to support the girls with understanding their diagnosis, navigating friendships and the teenage world, exploring the changes that they may face throughout this chapter in life and providing strategies to overcome any challenges that may arise throughout this time. The group is facilitated by female Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists who have experienced growing up as a teenage girl and have extensive experience in supporting individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

The Girls Group program aims to support young females with:

  • Understanding the Autism Spectrum disorder
  • Building friendships and socialising with same aged peers
  • Understanding puberty and what this may mean for them
  • Exploring the social situations that they may face as a teenage girl

Handwriting without tears

Handwriting Without Tears® uses a fun, engaging and multisensory approach to support children aged 5 to 7 with the skill of handwriting. The program is facilitated by two Occupational Therapists who have experience in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder to assess and treat handwriting difficulties.

In this program, your child will learn:
