BAATing looks bright in Barossa

And we’re not talking about the cricket! On Tuesday 4 December 2007 at the Barossa Library, The Barossa Autism Awareness Team (BAAT) launched a brand new brochure thanks to the recent support they have received from the local Barossa community and the Barossa Council.

With the help of a Community Grant from the Barossa Council, BAAT have launched a new brochure about what their team strives to achieve. The team saw a need for these brochures when locals started asking questions like – ‘Who are we? What are we trying to achieve? How the community could benefit from our actions? And most importantly how could they assist us?’ says Julie Urry, BAAT team member. From this, the team realised that they needed to put information in writing and make it easily accessible to all members of the community. If you would like more information about BAAT or would like to support them in some way please call Autism SA on 8379 6976 or email admin@autismsa.org.au.

BAAT would like to thank the Barossa Council and many of the local businesses who have helped to make the brochures a reality.
