Our new team of fundraisers
As a part of Autism Month – May 2008, our new team of enthused fundraisers will be volunteering their time to meet once every three weeks to work together to develop key fundraising activities, not to mention finding sponsors, theming and marketing a new event on the Autism SA calendar, a black tie ball named ‘Wonderland at the Wine Centre’. The commitee hopes to raise funds for Autism SA’s new Family Centre at Netley.
And what’s the best way to wrap up what the committee is? Well, Amy, from Brock Real Estate says, ‘The Ball Committee is an exciting new challenge and something different from my current day to day work but at the same time it still involves some of the key business fundamentals. It’s also a chance to meet some new people and have a bit of fun!’ And Vice Chairperson, Igor says, ‘The Committee is a fun place where young people and professionals come together to socialise, network and exchange ideas, while making a positive difference. Members will benefit from learning new skills and meeting new people. Nonetheless, the unavoidable fact is that the Committee Members will be touched and will touch the lives of others. This in itself is a great reward!’

Quiz Night Corner
The Parents Assisting Kids with Autism (PAKA) Quiz Night, held on Friday 23 November at the Goodwood Community Centre was a roaring success thanks to the dedicated organisers on the PAKA Committee, all the valuable supporters and guests.
The night’s proceedings included ten rounds of questions and some novelty games from Quiz Master Graeme – not to mention an appearance or two from Autism SA’s celebrity MC, David Palmer.
