Hot dollars raised at Mt Gambier Badge Day

The scorching hot day didn’t stop the dedicated volunteers at Mt Gambier from raising a dollar or two! More than $1,500 was raised for Autism SA at the 2007 Mt Gambier Badge Day that was held on Friday 16 November 2007.

For the last five years the badge day has been run by local Autism SA Ambassador, Janette Hancock. Due to family commitments Janette will be handing over the Badge Day coordinator role to a newly appointed leader so that the event can continue to thrive in the future. A big thank you to Janette for her years of service and coordinating five very successful Badge Days. Autism SA hopes to find a new leader within the next few months so that preparations for the 2008 Badge Day can commence.

A big thank you to all the volunteers and local businesses that helped out on the day including: She’s Apples, Savings and Loans, Centro Management, Australia Post – Mt Gambier, Chapman’s Newsagency, Coles – Mt Gambier, ABC Radio, 5SE Radio and 5GTR Radio.
