Autism Month - May 2008
May 2008 will see Autism SA hosting Autism Month. During this time Autism SA will be re-launching its Call to Action and will be holding a number of key activities and events to raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders and the profile of Autism SA within the community. The activities include:
Wonderland at the Wine Centre
a black tie ball supporting Autism SA
Coordinated by a group of enthusiastic young professionals volunteering their time, this event will be the highlight of the 2008 calendar and will celebrate the end of Autism Month – May 2008. To be held at the National Wine Centre on Saturday 31 May, the Ball will explore the ‘I wish you knew’ theme of Autism SA while raising awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

2008 Recognition Awards
The 2008 Awards program will be the third awards presented. Autism SA recognises that there are many individuals and organisations that make significant contributions to the organisation as well as for people and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders in South Australia.
The 2008 Awards program will be the third awards presented and will be recognising individuals from the following categories:
- Professional Achievement Award (Individuals only)
- Autism SA Exemplary Service Award (Autism SA Board, Staff, Volunteers or Private Individuals)
- Autism SA Business Partnership Award (Organisations only)
- Patronage Award (Individuals or Business Entities)
- Parent/Carer Award (Individuals only)
- Individual Achievement Award
(Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder only) - Autism Ambassador Award
