Autism Awareness Week

To
celebrate Autism Awareness Week, 13-19 May, the Port
Lincoln Autism support group Kaleidoscope held an awareness stall
out the front of the Nautalis Theatre on Thursday 17th May.
The group were amazed and inspired with the amount of intrerest and support
that was shown by the community.
The stall displayed a range of stratagies, thearapies and general information about Autism Spectrum Disorder. The stall allowed families and those connected with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including support workers, teachers, carers and extended family members to have direct contact with someone who lives with ASD all the time.

Parents were overwhelmed by the surprise visits by two of the childrens classes, and their teachers and support workers. Jakiah the canine companion was once again the star attraction to young and old alike.
