‘Someone to turn to…’
The ‘Someone to turn to…’ parent to parent support program is seeking volunteers. Volunteers need to be parents whose child has had a diagnosis for more than a year. Being a volunteer involves making regular phone calls to newer parents and offering support and a “listening ear”. These phone calls are often only once a fortnight. Training is offered to interested people and is either two days on a weekend or three shorter days during school hours.

The next training sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays 4, 11, and 18 September 2007 Time: 9.15am – 2.30pm. If you would like to attend this training or would like to be on the mailing list for future training sessions please call Greg Healy, Family & Information Officer on 8379 6976.
