Autism SA Secures Southern Respite House
Autism SA and Variety - The Children’s Charity are delighted to announce that after three attempts, a property for the southern Variety Respite House has been purchased.
The house is situated in Onkaparinga Hills and, when established, will provide essential respite to 50 families per year in the southern suburbs.
This initiative was made possible through a donation from Variety - The Children’s Charity and recurrent funding from the State Government. Unfortunately this service will not be able to commence immediately as the house requires internal renovations while outside there is a need for extensive clearing and landscaping.
There is also a need for new fencing, paving, stormwater drainage and tanks. Donations have been received from the Adelaide Bank Charitable Foundation and the general public, Autism SA seeking further support from the community and corporate sector. Thank you very much for recent donations received from Homewares International, Breville, Woolworths, North East Conveyancers, The Pickard Foundation and Designer Direct.
