A personal message from the newly appointed CEO,
I write to provide you an update on recent developments within Autism SA.
With the endorsement of the Board, I have resigned as President of the Autism SA Board - and leading defence operator, Saab Australia, has granted me leave as Commercial Adviser to enable me to take up the position of Interim CEO. Treasurer Troy Mohler will be the President of the organisation.
There are times in the lifecycle of all organisations when they need to address fundamental challenges. I will work with the Board and staff of Autism SA on a process of business evolution and growth. This is designed to strengthen the organisation’s position on the Australian disability landscape and work within the changing business model presented by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). I will be leveraging my previous experience with leading defence operator Saab Australia and other sectors, in corporate practice, partnerships and growth of new strategic enterprises. This will be coupled with my intimate knowledge and connections with the organisation and driven by my passion for the Autism community based on my own personal circumstances.
This also provides an opportunity for new standards of engagement with the autism community.
Our priority has always been the people we support and the wider Autism Spectrum community and we will continue as the lead provider of support and services to people on the spectrum. We will be creating new channels to connect and partner with our community. In the interim if you would like to contact me please do so by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
This is an exciting time for Autism SA and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. We want to listen to ensure continual progress for the Autism community and the organisation.
