Family Workshops

Families registered with Autism SA can attend family workshops in various suburban locations.

Topics include:

  • An Introduction to Asperger syndrome for Families with a New Diagnosis (13yrs+)

Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorders

This session introduces the characteristics of Autism Spectrum disorders and discusses causes and strategies that can help the individual.

Makaton Keyword Signing Workshop

The scheduled Makaton Keyword Signing Workshop for 17 and 24 November 2009 has been postponed until early 2010. Dates will be advertised on the website when finalised.

Professional Development Series

The School Inclusion Program provides quality training by experienced presenters on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD): autism, High Functioning autism and Asperger syndrome. Some of the topics covered include: Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorders, Teaching Students with Asperger Syndrome (General and Advanced), How to Help students with Sensory Needs and Surviving Challenging Behaviours (General and Advanced).
