Social Stories

Social Stories present socially appropriate behaviour in a clear story format. Stories are individualised and outline the "who, what, when and where" of social situations. Carol Gray developed Social Stories at the Jenison Public School in the USA and the technique is now widely used. A further strategy developed by Carol Gray is Comic Strip Conversations, used in teaching social skills.
